Since Passit for course 2 will not be available by time I write my exam on the 18th I have been going over all the quiz questions in all the modules again and again. I am getting less and less stressed as I just realized that it shouldn't be overly difficult if its 115 multiple choice questions. I was originally stressing that they would make us write a clause from scratch but now realize they can't because its multiple choice so as long as I have an understanding of what a clause should look like I should be fine. As for the Math and Conversion part I don't think they can make a question too difficult that you cant do in your head like a purchase price of 300k less a deposit of 10k they buyer would only owe 290k on closing.
What does everyone else think?
Hi David,
As I read everyone's feedback, I feel more apprehensive starting the 2nd course. I know I need to! I'm too disappointed with the presentation of the course. Did you mention a survey that we can fill out? Do you think it would be a good idea for one of us to write a letter to Humber with our concerns and provide an opportunity for other learners to sign off?
How are you getting through course 2 without the Passit guide? I really appreciated having their resource to help me get through course 1.
Hi Azar,
you should get a survey from Humber soon after you finish any course. It’s a link inside the email and has about 10 questions. I and others have emailed Humber and reco with no response. I did post what I sent them a few weeks ago. The passit guide was not available for me in course 1 and course to is not ready yet and I write on Monday. I only ready the entire course once and make note of all the quiz pages and then go back and do the quizzes over and over. I wish I could try the pass it but I don’t think they will catch up☹️
Hey!
I've been able to get in contact with one of the supervisors at Humber and she would like to know about the errors. Do you mind sending them to me or do mind if I look back at the previous posts to find the mistakes and forward them to her? She also mentioned that if learners are finding themselves needing additional time, she will gladly issue an extension.
Hi Azar,
im not sure how much you will find on my posts on passit. I have reported over a dozen weeks ago that are still not fixed. I would suggest she join all the different groups like this one and the 2 facebook groups. They have the most postings of the mistakes. or share her name and extension number and I will call as I just have them jotted down and not typed out
Did anything come about the mistakes in course one and two? Just curious. They want to know this information. I spoke with Miguel, the associate dean at Humber. I had written a letter to let him know how disappointed I was with Humber and felt that this course was falsified in its timelines and overloaded with information. He is an advocate for the students taking the course and would like to hear all suggestions. He advise me that he needs all suggestions which he can pass along to RECO and the information tech company that has put all the info on line.
April
Good for you April for connecting with him. I will provide support in any way that I can with regard to your statement. I was advised by a staff member at Humber that more time would be provided if students need it but then I got the second email saying there wont be extensions. This clearly speaks to the inconsistency at Humber.
Yes. Most but not all mistakes were fixed on the 29th. Please see a post from Daphne Moens. There is FB group that discusses all of this and more. Miguel is also part of it and answers us there as were in a Q&A session once a week. It’s usually after a video Daphne crests after talking to him with updates with our concerns.
Hi April,
My suggestion to Miguel is to tell RECO that they should review all the material and ask themselves if all this information they are presenting in the course material is for a new sale person? my answer to that would be a " NO". There is a lot of unnecessary information they are providing in the course material that we don't need to know(at this point) To me the way they set this course is more of a refresher for those who have been around in the industry for a long while. Also RECO should correct all the course material errors and modify the course material with a focus for a "New Salesperson" also what I am reading from other students regarding the C2 exam is there really a need for 115 exam questions???
hi Anita,
sorry for jumping in April. Yes Miguel has taken this recommendation to the tri-parties. There will be a news letter coming out in the next little while, it is just under review before being released. Please look at a post from Daphne moens And join the FB group as well. There we have videos of topics discussed with Miguel and some answers.
C2 exam is 115 questions and 3hrs to complete. There is a tone of info so in relation to c1 info it’s about correct for testing our knowledge. C3 exam first date is Jan 6
Hi David,
What is the link to the FB page?
“Real Estate Salesperson Program-Humber College “
In my opinion Humber should correct all the error's that were brought to their attention from the students regarding course 2. They should not offer course 2 or the exam until it is ready and presented properly. It is just a waste of money on our part because we will not be learning anything other than the mistakes. They should also re visit all the unnecessary information they are providing in the course material that we don't need to know(at this point) as new sales people. I won't be enrolling in course two until all is good and ready to go. I don't think that the passit team will be offering their guides until Humber corrects all the mistakes. Passit is here to help us pass not fail.
Hi Anita,
I understand your point with Humber not being ready and yes they should have delayed the launch date until they went through it rather then using us as a beta test group. When I find a mistake I make not of it and then call them in. I think we can still learn the correct answers and pass it can still make there tests and quizzes with the correct answers it’s just they don’t have access to the course until we do. I think it seems like they have to purchase the course like we do go through the material like us and one of their team members goes and writes the exam to be able to move onto the next course. That is the only reason I think they are behind in launching. Course 2 is long but a of the modules are common sense I found.
HI Anita and David,
When I spoke with Miguel, it is actually not Humber who provides or displays the course, but they stand by their students to help then understand the material from a learners perspective. Humber reviews the material and makes suggestions based on the feedback form students. Humber facilitated the extension of course 1 from 2 to 4 weeks. Many suggestions have been passed along to RECO from my understanding. This issue is the mistakes need to be pointed out and passed along so they can be fixed. Mark (Humber hotline number x 6) is excellent at helping with anything, I use him very frequently for any questions I may have, no matter how small.
If you would like to pass along the mistakes in course 2, I will email them directly,
Thanks
April
Good luck on Monday! I was aiming for the 18th but got a bit delayed. I am scheduled to write on the 23rd. Interested to hear your feedback.
Thanks. Will let you know how it goes and what it was like. Good luck on your exam on the 23rd
Hey David,
Did you find the second exam to be more challenging than the first one?
